About this policy

PresenceVR, Inc. (“Presence,” “we,” “us”) operates presencevr.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with this website and inquiries sent through it. Separate notices and agreements may apply to participation in a program, research study or VR experience; this policy does not replace them.

Information we handle

When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and the message you choose to send. We also receive information you provide when corresponding with us.

Our hosting and email providers process technical information needed to operate and protect their services, which may include IP addresses, browser/device information, request timestamps and email delivery information.

Please do not send medical records, diagnoses, payment information or other sensitive personal information through the website contact form. It is not an emergency or clinical-care channel.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to respond, discuss the subject of your inquiry and maintain related correspondence. We use technical information to operate, troubleshoot and protect the website and email delivery, and may use information to meet legal obligations. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Service providers and disclosure

We use Vercel to host the website and Resend to deliver contact-form messages to our team inbox. Our email service also processes correspondence. These providers process information to supply their services. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the security of our services.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Browser storage

The website uses session storage to remember whether the opening animation has played in the current browser-tab session. This setting is not an advertising identifier. The website does not currently install advertising or analytics trackers. Hosting-platform features and external websites may have their own data practices.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry correspondence only as long as needed to respond, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. Provider logs, mailbox copies and backups may have separate retention periods. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Your questions and requests

You may contact us through our contact page or at 1 (415) 873-2940 to ask about personal information you have provided or request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity. Applicable law may provide additional rights or require us to retain some records. Do not send identity documents through the contact form unless we arrange an appropriate method with you.

Children

The contact form is for general inquiries, not enrollment of children in services. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Other websites and updates

Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ privacy practices. We may update this policy as our website or practices change and will show the effective date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
